Fainting
When the team falls, it returns to the Hollow without the bag or the coins it was carrying. What is lost, what remains, and the special cases: the Monster House, bosses, fleeing, playing together.
In short
- Lost: the bag and the purse, entirely. They stay at the bottom of the dungeon.
- Kept: the items your Pokémon hold, everything in the bank’s vault, the levels gained, the garden’s plots.
- Fleeing costs as much as fainting; the
Escape Orb, for its part, brings everything back.
When the team falls
A Pokémon whose HP drops to zero faints: it stays down, and control passes to an ally still standing. When the last one standing falls, or the hero if alone, the run stops: the team wakes up in the Hollow.
What is lost, what remains
| Lost | Kept |
|---|---|
| The bag, entirely | What the Pokémon hold (one item each) |
| The purse, entirely | The bank’s vault, items and coins |
| The place, to be redone | Levels and moves learned |
| The requests taken, which wait for another run | The garden’s plots and crops |
Special cases
- In a Monster House: if swept away, the team is thrown out, without the treasure, but the run goes on.
- Before a boss who lets you retry: the team gets back up at the arena door, and the fight is replayed.
- Playing together: whoever gives up the run loses their bag and their coins; the other returns standing.
- Fleeing: leaving the place without finishing it or using an orb costs the bag and the purse, like fainting.
Reviving an ally
A
Reviver Seed revives a fallen ally, next to you, with half its HP. A fainted Pokémon that isn’t revived stays down until the end of the floor, and gets back up on the next floor if the run goes on.
Before a hard place, leave in the vault what you won’t need, or tick “Store everything in the vault automatically” at the bank. And give your Pokémon the items that matter: held, they can’t be lost.
